About Align & Flow Pilates

Align & Flow Pilates is a boutique reformer Pilates studio in Markham, Ontario: a small, appointment-only space built around precision, presence, and intentional movement. Where precision meets flow.

Our Story

Align & Flow Pilates was founded by Katherine, who introduced the studio to Markham with a soft-opening announcement in March 2026: woman-owned, boutique, appointment-only. In her own words, Katherine created the studio "as a small, calm space where movement can feel intentional, supportive, and personal." In every session, her focus is on helping clients improve posture, build deep core strength, and move with better alignment.

Many clients come to Align & Flow carrying neck and shoulder tension from long days at a desk, or looking for a safe, supportive way to rebuild strength during postpartum recovery. Align & Flow was built around exactly these moments: training with depth, not speed. "This is not fast fitness. This is refined strength," as the studio's opening message put it. "We don't chase exhaustion. We build alignment. We restore connection. We move with control."

Our Approach

Sessions at Align & Flow are kept intentionally small (Private, Duet, or Small Group, capped at a maximum of three clients), so each person receives personalized guidance and hands-on corrections. The work centres on posture, deep core strength, and alignment, using reformers, the Cadillac/tower, and the Wunda Chair, down to hands-on teaching moments like guiding a client's ankle mobility on the Wunda Chair. For the philosophy behind how we teach, see Our Philosophy on our home page.

Who We Work With

We work with clients at every stage of their movement journey: people managing neck and shoulder tension from desk work, those rebuilding strength safely during postpartum recovery, and clients simply working on posture, core strength, and everyday alignment. We also support golfers, tennis, and badminton players building the hip stability, thoracic mobility, and core strength their sport demands. Whether you're brand new to Pilates or years into your practice, sessions are shaped around your body, your goals, and your story. No two sessions are ever the same. Pilates can't change your bone structure, but it can help you work with it, building better alignment and muscle balance over time.

Katherine, Founder & Lead Instructor. Katherine opened Align & Flow Pilates in March 2026 as a boutique, appointment-only studio in Markham. A Certified Pilates Instructor, she still teaches regular sessions at the studio, and clients can book private 1:1 sessions with her as our Lead Instructor. She keeps every session small so she can give personalized guidance and hands-on corrections. In her own words: "It's been incredibly meaningful to see this space slowly come to life and to welcome each person who walks through the door."

Christian, Pilates Instructor. Christian joined the team in summer 2026. A dancer and RAD Certified Ballet Instructor (Royal Academy of Dance) with STOTT Pilates® Reformer Training, she specializes in core strength, posture and body control, dancer training, and movement quality and body awareness. In her own words: "My goal is to help every client find their own strength and balance, build confidence through movement, and enjoy the beautiful changes that come with a strong, healthy body."

Meet the Team

Progress, Not Perfection

Consistency, not intensity, is what moves the needle here. Our "Alignment in Progress" content follows real clients' posture over weeks and months of private and duet sessions, a reminder that steady, repeated practice is what changes how you move, not a single hard workout. As one client put it: "I wasn't trying to stand taller, but I feel like my whole body has lifted." As we tell our clients: consistency beats intensity.

As of October 2026, clients rate Align & Flow 5.0 out of 5 on Google, from 29 reviews. Read our Google reviews.

Community

Align & Flow is part of the wider Markham athletic community. In August 2026, we sponsored AK Golf Studio's first tournament, supporting local golfers working on the hip stability, thoracic mobility, and core strength that carry over from the reformer to the course.
